I’ve been a subscriber for a long time now, but the app is getting too buggy to use. The desktop site works fine but a lot of times I want to use the resources on my phone. Scripture often doesn’t load and only produces a white background. Being able to read scripture I feel is the bare minimum for a Bible app. If this is fixed, I’ll probably come back as a subscriber.

I have used bible gateway for several years, but lately ads come on screen that highly interfere. Today I deleted old app and will try a newer version, hopefully it will work. If not i will have to do something else. Blessings

The ads are destroying this app! You cannot open on church to check the verses being preached on because by the time you get through the ads the Preacher is finished! You can’t use this app to research because it adds hours of additional time to your work. You can’t use this app when you are discussing the Bible with someone because by the time you get through the ads, assuming that the app doesn’t freeze first, the discussion is over. This used to be a fantastic tool for sharing and understanding and teaching the Bible. And you didn’t need ads to make it happen. But then I can only imagine that someone got greedy and wanted more money for this. Thus the ads. Not just quick mentions, but full ads that take you to another website! Such an incredible loss to Christianity!

I used to love this app but now you can’t open it without watching 3 to 5 minutes of gaming apps so I basically just don’t use it anymore

The ads are soooooo long ! It’s ridiculous to the point of uninstalling this app !

I would have rated this a five but they’ve added an ad before the app gets to the Bible. I’m not against ads normally but the ad at the beginning takes a long time and is hard to get away from. I don’t care fore the app, BUT I just bookmark the website and still use Bible Gateway. I think it works better that way. I couldn’t get used to the other Bible apps either so I opted for the website from button on my homepage.

I have used this app for years and I cannot access a Bible verse now without sitting through ads - it's not only annoying but quite disappointing. Please spare me the platitudes about your ads reflecting your "Christian" values - keeping a person from accessing the Word while they are forced to watch a gaming ad is not reflective of Christian values. If you need to charge a fee do it up front, or find funding another way, but this is not the way.

I used to like this app to use for a little bit when out and not having my regular Bible on me but it has been overtaken with obnoxious ads. I can’t even read a verse on here without being interrupted by the ads and being required to wait on them to get access again. I’m deleting this app, now. It’s just not worth having anymore. I recommend you go with a different Bible app. That’s what I’m doing.

Been using the app for a few years. I understand you must have commercials/advertisements pop up to help support the app. However, as soon as I begin reading the Scripture, up pops the ad! I have deleted the app! My advice, don't interrupt my reading of God's Word !
