  • Integration between devices leaves a lot to be desired

When I’m trying to control playlists on the app on my phone while streaming to an Echo device, the integration is terrible. The app almost always lists an entirely different song than what is actually playing. It’s really annoying. I prefer Apple Music, but playing that on an Echo is even clunker for obvious reasons.

App can be downloaded on multiple platforms but can only stream music on one at a time. 👎🏼
  • Basically Spotify

It’s a music app and nothing more; basically it’s Spotify. You would think after paying for it you’d get a little more, but you’d be mistaken. Generalized music and limited skips. Pretty disappointing.
  • Don’t bother - really bad app. I can’t emphasize enough what a disaster this app is.

Final edit. I had to cancel the subscription due to overbilling. When I went to do so? The app wouldn’t let me. After more than 20 minutes on the phone w rep, they were able to cancel it. This app and subscription appears to be somewhat of a scam if they won’t even let you cancel. I’d avoid it altogether and pick a better company. ———- Editing to report yet another issue with the defective and ill designed app. It just stops playing randomly. Even when the tracks are downloaded. For example, a green noise loop intended to be looped while you sleep stops after a few repeats, about 10 minutes. I tried chatting w their chat help. The useless suggestions were to force stop and restart the app. The rep was clueless and started to give instructions for a fire cube which is not device I am using. All in all, the Amazon Music app and Amazon Music Unlimited do not work properly and are decently not worth the cost. Don't waste your time. Pick something else, basically any other music app and subscription would be better that this garbage Amazon is selling. I feel that it is borderline fraudulent. ———————————- Still the case some time later. Honestly, I am shocked they have not bothered to try to improve the app. It remains badly organized, slow, and a rather embarrassing venture from Amazon. I was actually trying to find something positive to write and can only point to the lyrics feature as the sole thing worthwhile. What a waste, and clearly they don’t care. For example, even with the music downloaded, this stupid still finds a way to pause randomly for no reason at all as if it needs an lte connection — in case anyone who works at Amazon sees this, let me clarify that that is NOT the point of downloading. You download the music to not have this very problem. So, please try fix your app, b/c so far it’s just an unqualified mess. ————— prior —————- Poorly designed app that barely lets you access half of what it should. Just to get to my own playlists and find one song is a chore. Can’t recommend this. In fact I’d recommend almost anything else.

I buy my music from amazon, and have used this app for years to stream and share my music across devices. It used to work very nicely. Now, amazon uses the app to sell their Unlimited music service. Everything in the app now goes to that. You can still use it to listen to your personal library, but it takes a lot of navigation to access your personal library, and refuse the offers to buy a subscription to Unlimited. I very much dislike this app and am considering moving over to itunes instead.
