I ended up downloading this app because I have the movie version. So after downloading, I get to work scanning my Classified figures. After about 15 scans, I got a pop-up saying I’ve reached my max, and if I wanted to continue, I’d have to buy the full version for $30. I’ve never deleted an app so quick in my life. No way I’m paying $30 for an app.

But when I got to scan anything the app closes on me. Why is this happening?

I’ve been using this app for most of a year to track my video games, dvds, and board games as well as my wife’s childhood collection of Barbie. It does a wonderful job. No longer do I get duplicates when thrifting because I have a list in my pocket. It’s also great for tracking values for insurance if anything happens.

Once you are in, pray you don’t get logged out because you won’t be able to get back in. I have reset my password a dozen times and still can’t get in. I have reached out to customer service 4 times and have not received ANY responses. I even purchased a 2nd membership just to be able to log in and now I can’t access that one either. I think the program could be good, but the customer experience is horrible and the service is even worse.

I have a hard time with this app because it keeps taking me to a website and then I had to re-login and then it doesn’t store the coins properly or give me information then I have to login again it’s just sort of convoluted and keeps jumping around

This app is great! I will be using many of the default categories like trains, coins, pops, pins, conics, art etc. More importantly I could create my own category and define all the fields I need and want. I collect/restore vintage and antique cameras and this app makes it so easy to see what I have and don't have. It was a bit pricey, but as I've written apps in the past, I can say this could not have been an easy app to create and keep up to date. It was definitely worth it and now I can inventory all my collections for insurance purposes.
  • Ok, but not too reliable overall

TLDR: paid for premium to test. app is ok, metadata is all over the place, tends to be unreliable to look at your collection anytime anywhere, moving my collection to another tracking app. —— I’ve used this app for a while now and have around 2,000 movies and video games in my collection. I tried the built in metadata finder but found it to be riddled with incorrect information on most movies and such. The issue seems to be that the app relies on everyone else for everything. If a movie is not in the database, it relies entirely on a person to scan it in, add pics, etc.. it says it uses other sources, but it’s quite evident that over a period of time the way the app allows people to tweak things has made it a complete mess. The problem is that overtime, people tweak the metadata as they use it, and in some cases you end up having a boat load of options appearing for the item you scanned or want to add, with terrible box art pictures, incorrect synopsis, a lot of issues. It really threw me off how many movies have (3D) toggled on when the movie was never released in 3D. The more you look at the options given for the item you’ve scanned, the more issues and inaccuracies you find. Due to the metadata issue, I decided to pay for a year to unlock everything in the app and custom collections. I figured as long as everything is available offline at all times, it would be worth me setting everything up myself to bypass the automatic metadata all together. With custom collections I took the time to scrape all box art myself, and custom added all 2,000ish items manually. The primary reason I used this app originally was due to it (supposedly) working without internet (your collection, images, etc. are stored locally on your device. Internet only needed to sync your collection). There have been a surprising number of times where I needed to put my phone into airplane mode to get the app to work for some reason, but doing so always allowed my collection to show up. I’m unsure if this is due to my cellular connection at the time, but it has happened plenty of times when I have a full 5G signal. The app just hangs with no errors, then when I put my phone into airplane mode, everything suddenly works. The other night for several hours I was unable to access my collection entirely. The PC app just gave an error and would not load anything at all, and the phone app kept telling me I could make collections if I wanted (but said I didn’t have any). Due to this error, I’ve done further research and am moving everything to a different and hopefully more reliable app that looks to work very well without internet, and without needing airplane mode for some reason every once in awhile, At a 1/3 of the yearly cost. The app on phone and pc going down the other night made me realize that at any time this app can suddenly prevent me from looking at my collection, and as large as some of my collections are and for as many times that I need to randomly pull my phone out of my pocket to check something, AND for the sheer amount of time I took to add things manually, this app simply isn’t reliable enough for that use case. At any time my collections can be gone with zero recourse, all of that time wasted. I would like to use the app, but overall it has given me too many issues for seemingly no reason, and when I pull my phone from my pocket to compare something in my collection, it is a coin flip if it actually loads everything without me needing to take more steps, or in the case of the other night, if I’ll be able to look at my lists at all. The app going down the other night showed me that my collection is also NOT on my device, or at minimum, will not let my phone access my collection if something happens elsewhere to iCollect. For this reason, I unfortunately have to give it two stars. It fails at its core purpose too frequently.

Once you hit 30 entries in any given list, you’re forced to pay $60 to continue using the app and creating entries. However, this is not the pro-version of the app that let’s you use the desktop version as well - that’ll bank you another $60/year subscription. All this for an app that barely works - after paying the first $60, whenever I add notes in the entries it doesn’t save anything I type! Waste of time and money, hopefully Apple gives me my refund. You’re better off using Google Sheets for the low low price of zero dollars than this waste of money and time.
