  • False Flagging Accounts/P*rnography/Rude Customer Service

Constantly having issues with this app, whether it’s my account continuously getting falsely flagged. unapproved charges to my card. Rude customer service, this is not a dating app. It’s strictly just individuals who want to hook up.Numerous Scammers stealing your photos. You would have better luck searching for love on Tinder. The hype around this app is fake, they beg for a review before even getting to navigate the app. This app has quantity NOT quality. There’s constant p*ornography on this app. Which definitely sends the wrong message.
  • couldn’t sign in but 3 stars to be neutral

i chose 3 stars to be neutral even though i haven’t used to app long enough to get the full experience because i had an issue right from the start which was when i tried setting up an account by signing up my email. it loaded for a bit, then sent me back to the sign in screen. when i tried signing in to create an account again, a notification popped up on my screen saying that my account was on hold because of network issues and that i needed to contact customer support. i’m sure it was just a mistake or just something weird happening but i’m not too interested in going back and forth with customer support over the next couple of days because of an issue that seemingly came out of no where.
  • Banned for being poly

They say they support polyamorous relationships but banned my account because they assumed we were searching for a threesome (we were most certainly not doing that, or breaking any other rules). This app does NOT SUPPORT POLYAMOROUS RELATIONSHIPS! DO NOT USE IF POLY, YOU WILL BE BANNED!
  • Can’t specify what gender/identity you’re interested in

I’ve used Her for a long time - I found my partner here and I now use it for friends and networking. There are lots of positives about this app, including the engagement from the developers and different “events”, and being able to message “matches” within any time frame after matching and not having a time limit. However, on basically any other dating or friend-making app out there, a large part of inclusivity and specifically queer-inclusion is allowing users to specify what gender or identity they are interested in seeing and matching with. It is really shocking and disappointing that, on an app that is catered towards queer individuals, there is no ability to do this that isn’t locked behind a pay wall. This is a basic feature of an app such as this and shouldn't be considered a premium feature. Lesbian women shouldn’t have to see or interact with male-identifying people on a dating app if they don’t want to, or vice versa or any other identity and preferential mix.

I (Female) have tried 3 separate times to create and keep a profile on the app, but I can never get past a week before my account becomes randomly put on hold/blocked. The site supposedly has strict rules around harsh/hate communication, language, profile pics (must include yourself is one of guidelines), and no “unicorn” hunting. I’m not new to apps and have never had one suspended on any platform, until this hateful one. I hold a verified account and have paid for the premium subscription each of the 3 times I’ve created a profile. There’s not been 1 single conversation with anyone that’s been derogatory, negative or uncomfortable. Even if I’m not a fit for someone, the convo is still polite and respectful. I’ve managed to meet 3 awesome friends in the limited time on there so the potential is there. Multiple connections have seen me lose a profile and create a new one and have laughed in convo about how mismanaged the site is. They’ve admitted that some members will simply report other profiles for being bisexual or poly or enm - those members (most aren’t paying) only want profiles that match exactly them and them alone. This is a well known dynamic of the app and is one that comes up in conversation. Speaking of conversation, as you exchange your desires and such to each other, I mention that I’m bisexual and partnered (married) and am open to multiple things: friends, fwb, and more. I’m open to having some dynamic that involves my husband and I’m open to it being just me on my own. There’s no agenda, no pressure, no closed door if there’s only interest in one side. And again, there’s never been one single negative interaction on the site. And in trying to do my part, I have also proactively reported multiple scam-attempt accounts. All my pics have me in them (multiple solo), which is an app guideline - though over half of all profiles have pictures of nature or animals alone, no person. So either the site allows discrimination toward bisexual/poly/enm humans or it simply allows discrimination toward anyone because despite the verified, paying, guidelines-abiding members, there’s no explanation given at all (signifying NO actual reports are looked into/verified) when an account is suspended. There’s no real customer service and no protection against hostile actions. If you can try to make your connections and move off the app within the first day or two on the app, then maybe you’ll have success. But you’ll also be supporting an app that’s known for repeatedly acting in this way and allowing (and participating in) discriminatory actions. That choice is yours. I would just see through a bulk of the “positive” reviews the company creating accounts to review themselves…and spend your valuable time on another app. It’s annoying enough as it is to create a dating profile, much less when you’re left unprotected in this sort of environment. I have an open ticket with “customer service” as of this morning asking for detailed proof on why my most recent account was suspended despite all the above, and I will update as I receive communication.
  • Used to love it but now…

This used to be one of my favorite apps. But it’s gone wayyyyy down in quality over the years tho. I miss when it was just a lesbian app, instead of a “queer” app. Too many cis men and straight people for my liking. Too many glitches that take foreverrrr to resolve (if it ever gets resolved) by support and then shamelessly putting all useful parts of it behind a paywall that they keep trying to convince you to pay for. One of the better apps that sadly went down the drain smh

  • As and app called HER it’s too many transgender women for me

“HER is, and will continue to be, an inclusive & welcoming space for LGBTQ folks. We love lesbians. What we don’t love, or allow, is folks who think trans & non-binary folks are less than. Trans women are women, and if you don’t agree, this isn’t the app for you and we wish you the best.” Is the bogus answer you copy and paste when you can’t get outside of your boxed brain. I NEVER SAID THEY WERE LESS THAN I JUST SAID IT ISNT MY PREFERENCE AND WISH IT WAS A WAY TO FILTER OUT NON CIS WOMEN 😒 so I’m wrong for having a preference?! I think not.
  • It has potential

As much as I want to like this app - I can't. There's so many fake profiles, along with SO many scammers. Not only that, but the amount of cis men is ruining it for me + the amount of unicorn hunters 🤢
