Ever since they switched to buyers paying a fee instead of sellers, my sales have tanked. The new policies are terrible for bother buyers and sellers. I tried buying something for the original price being $50 and with the new fees it went up to $75. 🔩 Mercari I’m going back to Poshmark

This is a safe way of selling yes, BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS MORE TRAINING! The fact that more fees on top of the already fees being applied to buyers makes it harder to sell!… i’ve gotten packages that have been lost, but if the mail marks it as shipped even on the WRONG ADDRESS! they will do absolutely nothing and it’s your loss, will I recommend ? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!

I shipped a package I sold and it was a very expensive model horse. I packaged that thing carefully. I wrapped it in cloth to protect the paint because when temperatures rise plastics and stuff tend to stick to paint and ruin the paint job on these kind of things. Then wrapped in bubble wrap. Nestled it on a thick layer of bubble wrap plastic bags and other packing materials. Tucked stuff between the legs, tail, and around side of the box. Then a layer on top and closed the box up. I have pictures of all it. Package is damaged by FedEx and model gets broken. Pictures upload by buyer show barely any packing I am told and refused to let me view pictures. Refused to view my pictures. They denied my shipping protection. Now I am out $150 and waiting for a broken model to come back to me. I have deleted all my sales ads from Mercari as this is not the first time as a seller they have screwed me over. Find another platform to sell on if you can. I am done!

Not a fan of the fees to purchase an item

I really like the app but all the fees make it to where is almost worth buying new since it’s cents or dollars cheaper.

Excellent seller, high quality items and swift shipping

Over the years, I have bought 30+ items from Mercari but since the new fees I have not purchased a thing! I keep finding myself getting all the way to the offer screen and once I see all the extra fees, shipping, and taxes added it always causes me to back out and look for the item elsewhere. I feel for the sellers who I’m sure have lost tons of business with these added fees.

I absolutely love Mercari I have made enough money to take myself on a trip, pay rent, have extra cash and so on. The fact that they got rid of seller fees makes this app ELITE. I won’t sell on any other platforms except eBay now. The only thing I would say is the seller support is eh, if a buyer buys something and wants to return it for whatever reason they can… even if you send proof of safe shipping or list defects in your listing or they misread your product description Mercari will ALWAYS side with the buyer. Other than that I love the app.
