Don’t provide your credit card #. The app is unresponsive to trying to cancel subscription before trial period ending. You will be billed.

It’s very addictive. It’s a similar style to DuoLingo so it will keep you engaged. This app will help develop a computer science engineer perspective.👍🏾👍🏾

I’ve been watching Kurzgesagt “In a nut shell” for years and they have brought up brilliant a lot. I decided to download the app initially to help me relearn calculus and am amazed at all the lessons offered. Everything is easy to understand and the lessons are engaging. Definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to learn new skills or relearn old concepts from school when you’ve been out in the world for a while.

I have had a very nice experience and hope to uncover the world I never thought I could find for a fourth-grader like me.

Be careful if you subscribe outside the App Store. Brilliant does not warn about upcoming renewals, and they will default to charging you a full year’s subscription. This happened to me and I was charged well over $100. I immediately contacted support via the “request refund” link and was told that they don’t provide refunds. Why have the link then? I would also say that the UI of the app is clunky. It feels laggy and it’s easy to accidentally start on the wrong lesson because of delays in the UI animations. Lessons themselves are good, but there is often insufficient explanation or detail. There is not enough practice and reinforcement. I think this app is a great idea, but I would prefer it to not be so scammy in its renewal policies and would like to see some better implementation of reviews.
  • No Practice Tests??

I have a love/hate relationship with this app that goes back to the reason I’ve always been behind in math in the first place - SLOW. DOWN. The material is great, but there needs to be more availability to do tests and quizzes. People who learn like me get better with repetition, and I know if I had the option of taking tests over and over my leisure I would crush math. The way this app is set up is you can blow through and read all the course material, but without the repetition of being able to constantly solve equations over and over this app doesn’t help in the way I most need help.
