It seems the ONLY option ALL users want is the ability to save PDFs as text-searchable, but this feature is still broken, even in the latest version of this app that was updated in early 2024. I can scan documents just fine, but when I try to save as text-searchable PDFs, the app simply crashes and no document is saved. This is very frustrating. Please fix it HP.

Never had an issue with this app. Updated my OS and this app. Now crashes every time I hit edit. I use this for my job. Now I will get fired.

Since upgrading to macOS 14.4, Clicking on the "Edit" button will cause HP Easy Scan to crash! The "Rotate","Info" and "Send" commands still appear to function normally. If you need to be able to edit a scanned document with the latest macOS operating system, HP Easy Scan is no longer a solution for you.

Used to work great. Now program crashes with any attempt to edit the scanned items. First it was occasional and now it is constant. Cannot use. Am on Sonomo 14.4.1. Scanner is from an HP all in one printer/scanner.

I have had the hardest time trying to figure out how to scan stuff to my computer. All the directions on the HP site were super confusing. But this app worked perfect, it was so easy.

Upon upgrading MacOS to Sonoma (MacOS 14.4.1), Easy Scan crashes upon clicking on "Edit." So scans are no longer editable. My printer is an HP OfficeJet Pro 8740.

Every since I updated to 2.0, my printer is not recongized. Can't downgrade to an older version. Every other Mac at home is on 1.9 and now I'm not upgrading it. Stay away.

Scanner works correctly but when you try to do anything with the scanned document it crashes. Not very useful to have a scanner that won't save anything.

I don't know why such a better reviews. I had it for years, only recently started to crash, unfortinutly, but it is the best scanner for HP printer!!!

HP updated with software with bugs. If you try to edit your scan with either the on screen 'edit' button or the keyboard shortcut, the app crashes. It's rendered my scanner useless!!
