  • No synopsizes? Is this a joke?

    I don’t know which morning developer or incompetent manager allowed this version of this app to be published. Genuinely confuse- what kind of braindead, absolute idiot do you have to be to not think to included clear and accessible synopsizes in the book descriptions? The customer reviews (which are irrelevant if you can actually make decisions for yourself), apple’s recommendations, and other suggestions are prioritized more highly than actually providing insight about what the literal book I am looking at is about. Am I supposed to judge by the cover? Or just another cash grab, predatorily relying on people’s laziness to try to get them to just buy the book? Or are those who oversaw this application just entirely incompetent? Spoiler: it’s the latter two. apple’s just…. Such a constant disappointment. I cannot wait- truly, for the very moment that it all comes crashing down, and they’re just left with facing those who they exploited to get the materials for their toys, and an uninhabitable world that they contributed a mind-blowing amount to the downfall of through their immense environmental impact. Really, they just can’t seem to get anything right except for their ability to scam people into buying new products through their use and employment of planned obsolescence. You would expect that after all that work, that they’d potentially be able to find someone who could adequately screen their subpar applications before going to market.

    first off, the app is reeallyyyyy slow. Second off I have to pay for the apps. Usually apps like these add that into their bio but.. apple specifically said “ no subscription needed”. I have to pay to read a book? From liars ? I’ll be sticking to a REAL library.

    When I first downloaded this app for books it has been working great for the past couple of months and about a week ago it just stop working it will not open up nor will it update so what am I suppose to do about it I cannot read any of my books?

  • Inconsistent Font Size

    Half the chapters, every other chapter in every book, are the size I selected. The other half are smaller. If I increase the font size of the smaller font It will change my preferred font size in the other chapters to supersized.

    Since the controls were moved to the bottom, it is almost impossible to close the book you are reading to return to the book store. An avid reader, why are you fixing something that wasn’t broken?

    However,I cannot get off the current book I am reading. There seems to be no way to get back to my library. No matter where I tap it just keeps me in the book I bought. Cannot someone fix this issue. It is extremely frustrating.

    I like that it automatically sets a reading goal and times and you can view thousands of books and even upload an EPUB. One thing though, not many children’s books.

    This used to be a great app now I can’t see any of the books I’m currently reading aside from the last book I opened. All I see is the bookstore filling up the page. If you don’t want me to read multiple books at the same time just say that!
